FAQ

FAQ

Where do you source your tallow?

We source our suet exclusively from local and regional ranches across Utah and Idaho. We believe in supporting our neighboring agricultural communities and only partner with family-run operations we know and trust. There are no feedlots here. Our tallow comes from cattle that spend their lives on open pastures, grazing on grass as nature intended. You get what you put in, and we believe you deserve the best.

How is your tallow rendered?

We take immense pride in our process, rendering every batch low and slow in small quantities. Every step is handled by us with artisanal care to preserve delicate nutrients and ensure an ultra-pure, odorless final product.

What should I do if my tallow balm melts?

Because our products are made with pure, natural ingredients and no harsh chemical stabilizers, they can be sensitive to heat. If your balm softens or melts in transit, simply give it a quick stir and pop it in the fridge for 20 minutes to firm back up. While it may lose its "whipped" fluffiness, the healing benefits remain exactly the same.

Is it going to feel greasy on my skin?

If it feels greasy, you’ve likely used a bit too much! Because our formula is water-free and includes Jojoba and Squalane, it is designed to absorb rapidly. A pea-sized amount is usually enough for your entire face. Once applied, give it 2–3 minutes to fully sink in—you’ll find it leaves your skin feeling velvety, not oily.

How long will my jar stay fresh?

Since our balms are made from natural fats and botanicals, they are best used within 6 to 12 months. To keep yours fresh, always use clean, dry hands when scooping and store your jar in a cool, dry place.
